2023/2024 Season

"It was a nurse who introduced me to wheelchair rugby. I was sort of under the impression that Paralympic sport was more of a participation event and you just sort of had to turn up. I couldn’t have been further wrong. Wheelchair Rugby was originally called “Murderball”. It is a massively brutal sport, hitting and all of that was a big shock. You can still be a bit violent. As the rest of the population sees you as somewhat a bit fragile; it’s a big perception changer!"
